The UN Secretary-General will highlight the progress made since the adoption of the Paris Agreement a decade ago, the remaining barriers and obstacles that stand in the way of accelerated action, and the steps required to turbocharge a renewables revolution that can deliver clean and affordable energy for all.
The Secretary-General's address will be accompanied by the release of a technical report prepared on the economic opportunity of the clean energy transition. The report will also identify the priority areas for action to accelerate this new age of energy powered by renewables, efficiency, and electrification.
