Tom Fletcher, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, briefed reporters on behalf of the UN and its partners to launch the Global Humanitarian Overview for 2026 to save the lives of millions of people caught up in wars, climate disasters, earthquake and epidemics. He took stock of what was achieved in 2025 and what needs to happen to ensure lifesaving aid reaches millions of people in need around the world next year.
